Hey Everybody! Massive fun at the Twack Factory! After messing with(and messing up) several pieces of tin, I think I figured it out. Tin is a very interesting thing to work with. Word of warning, tin is VERY sharp! I'm calling this the "Blood and Bandage" part of the project.
I formed a groove on the top. Almost all paintbrushes have that trim. You can see the little "dent' on his forehead, I think I'll keep it. He may have got it from a grocery shopping trip gone horribly wrong.
I'm not sure how I feel about the head. I think the proportions are off. I might try to trim it down. But first, I need to figure out how big the mouth will be and where it will go. I need to think about how the mechanics of the mouth are going to work.
Well, have a great weekend everybody! Bristles up! Twack
The story of a humble paintbrush trying to get along in this crazy world. Sometimes sad, sometimes so very sweet, and sometimes just disgusting... but then, isn't that life? My current mate on this journey is Chunk. He's a great pal. I'm sure i'll meet others. Bristles up! Twack

I made a really cool new friend that day. Her name is Willia. We had a great time. Its' fun to make new friends.
Willa told me everything she knew about flowers. She knows a lot about flowers!
What? No! It's allergies! Really. really.....

Hey everybody! How ya doing? Great day at the Twack Factory. I just found out I can cut tin with scissors! These are awesome. I cut some tin, then I cut some paper...perfect.
Working on the head right now. I found this matt finish piece of tin. All the photography has taught me to use a matt finish. Too much reflection can mess up the photography.
I cut out the face from an ink jet magnet sheet. It works perfect, i can do any shape and it's color safe.

It finally feels like i'm getting somewhere!
Well guys, I think I'm going to sit back and ponder the next move. Have a great night. Bristles up! Twack

Hey everybody! Success at the Twack Factory! The body is put together! That was a lot of work. Took the large pieces down with my Dremel. (I <3 DREMEL) then hand sanded down the rest. Here it is with a rough sand.
The shape is a little off for my liking. I made need to do some "shaping". Drill holes for arms and legs. Then i'm going to do a stain and matt varnish. I think the Balsa wood looks too pale.

Sticky business at the Twack Factory everybody! I couldn't decide to glue the side pieces together, sand them and then glue it together, OR, just glue the whole thing together and then sand it down. I opted for the second. What a sticky , messed up ordeal...anyway, it's glued and i'm going to let it set for a couple days. The pipe fits nice and snug.
FrankenTwack! Nice short film idea.

Hey everybody! What's up mates? Another beautiful day in the Twack Factory. FINALLY! all the side pieces have been cut. I did it all without cutting myself! I am very proud. I do have a small cut on my knuckle, but that was from the wood clamp. It was not an actual "blade to skin" contact. So it doesn't count. Building a puppet is becoming quite an adventure. It's like putting together a puzzle, but you're creating the pieces as you go. Here is a pic. 1/2 inch PVC pipe is up the center. That will be the handle and hold the wires for the mouth and a tube so he can spew beer and blow smoke! Next step is to glue the side pieces together and sand, sand, sand. Sand like a drunk monkey!
AHhhh! Franken-Twack!!!!
Creepy.
